Autumn activity – Rouge River Valley trail hiking report from May Ho

Thanks to the excellent leadership of Martin and Peggy, we had an very enjoyable hike today at the Glen Rouge Park.

With the perfect weather above us , the hikers walked merrily along the trail  , laughing and chatting with each other along the way.
I would like to thank Steve Chan and Joe Lau for assisting me in certain high risk slopes.
After lunch eight of us played mahjong hosted by Christina and Clement Chan. A few of us played on even after dinner till midnight.
Last but not the least, I would like to thank Christina and Clements for opening their guest suite for me to stay the night.  They are the perfect hosts!

New Year greeting from the Executive Committee

The year 2014 had left behind with us somber memories like political turmoil in our distant homeland, the unpredictable terrorism acts, and the diminished value of our Canadian dollars. Nevertheless, with the advent of the Year of Ram according to the Chinese lunar calendar, members of the Alumni’s Executive Committee would like to wish everyone a peaceful and happy year in 2015.

Contribution from members

In our summer BBQ held last August, the attendees besides enjoying the delicious food prepared by the EXCO members, they surely have benefitted from a financial talk presented by our honorary president May Ho. As an expert in personal finance management, she had made valuable guidelines regarding estate and retirement planning to the audience.

Annual General Meeting & Dinner

For those schoolmates who graduated from their last year of secondary education in 1965, our Canada Alumni will pay tribute to celebrate their 50th anniversary in this coming AGM. Likewise, a tribute will also be made to celebrate the 40th anniversary for those who graduated in 1975. Please do not hesitate to join with our fellow former teachers and schoolmates an evening full of fun and sharing.
